Hudhud is a movable fishing gear operated by a single person. It looks like a big scoop net with a fixed or folding frame made of bamboo and fish net. It usually measures 3 meters long with a long ‘puyo-poyo’ – where caught are placed. The netting material used is fine-meshed for it aims to capture shrimps, ‘hipon’ (shrimp acetes) and sometimes gobies. Fishing operation can be done early morning or evening during either low or high tide by walking along the fishing ground.
