Panikop, catching with the bare hands

Panikop is a traditional way of catching fish or mollusk with the use of bare hands. There are fish and mollusks that bury themselves at the substrate of shallow waters like in the ricefields or fishponds. The fisher would usually grope the soft ground with his bare hands and feet to find some fish or shells. A basket or container is needed to contain and transport the caught of the fishers. The pictures below show a fisher is doing panikop or using his bare hands in catching fish in the fishpond.
